5 ways to cut wedding cost

Weddings are very special, and romantic they bring a smile to every party involved but, they can be very expensive, too. So how can you prepare for your wedding if you are on a budget? Here are some tips.

  1. Invitations. Try the DIY wedding cards. You may also just send them an e-card, especially to people living out of the country. And make a call to close family members.
  2. Guests. Keep the guest list to a minimum. Invite only your closest friends and family members.
  3. Photographer. No matter what the cost is, you’ll be able to find a professional wedding photographer. Keep in mind you’re paying for a service and you don’t want to risk on it.
  4. Cake. If you’re not the type who values the look of your wedding cake a lot, then don’t go for a tall, grand look that costs a lot. Have a small cake shop do the job instead.
  5. Prioritize, prioritize, and prioritize. There are things that you want in your wedding that may not be within your budget. Choosing things that you believe will make your wedding memorable and discard the ones that are just frill to you.

Other ways you can save money:

1) Dont invite guests you feel you have to invite, if you havent seen 'Aunt Doris' for 25 years dont be put under pressure from family to invite her! Its your day and you have the right to invite people YOU and your husband want there.
2) Serve Cava rather then champagne
3) Have your bridesmaids over for a Girlie Night In before the wedding and practice various hair and make-up looks, you will be amazed at what you can acheive and may not need to pay extra for the hair and make-up artist to work on all the bridesmaids!
